Thank you to all of the volunteers who grabbed rakes, gloves and garbage bags for our annual Earth Day Clean Up on Saturday, April 23rd.  The event was a great success, once again demonstrating what a wonderful, actively engaged community we have here in the West Harbour area.

Special thanks goes to West Harbour Resident’s Association President Diana for hosting the event, her time and energy are always appreciated by the neighbourhood. Amongst the clean up crew were Ray Chisholm, newly elected Ward 2 Councillor, and the lovely couple complete with three little ones who won’t actually move into the neighbourhood until July, but are already active participants in our events!

Community workshops for Harbours Master Plan on Tuesday, May 3
What’s your view on Oakville and Bronte Harbours? Now’s your chance to help shape the future of the harbours by providing input into the town’s first Harbours Master Plan.

“Oakville’s harbours benefit everyone so it’s important that we hear the perspectives of as many residents, businesses and community groups as possible,” said Chris Mark, director of the Parks and Open Space department. “With help from key stakeholders and the public, our goal is to establish a long-term strategy for harbour development that supports the changing and growing nature of the community.”

Residents are invited to attend one of two workshops on May 3 at 3 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. at the Queen Elizabeth Park Community and Cultural Centre (QEPCCC) located at 2302 Bridge Road.
